Aaliyah Haughton made headlines in 1994 when she released her debut album Age isn't just a number. The singer was only 15 at that time, and the album was later renamed Gold. This collaboration, heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's musical style, put her in the limelight. In 1996 Jermaine Durpri as well as Timbaland collaborated to produce her second Album One In A Million. This album featured the song If Your Boyfriend only knew as the lead single one. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B songs through the album. She was a part of the action and romance film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials, including Volvo and many other major car brand names. Her acting career continues in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
