Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. In the age group of 15 years old, the album earned Gold status. This collaboration, heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's musical style, made her a star. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the hit number one track If Your Girl Only had known. The second album of Aaliyah, One in a Million, was released in 1996. It featured the top smash single,"If You Girl Only Knew. She was a part of the martial arts legend Jet Li in the romance-action film Romeo Must Die. Her role came about after being spotted by film director Joel Silver at an awards ceremony. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car producer. She is currently working on her acting career in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
